Chongqing KEDA Lithium-Ion Battery Materials Project Helps Develop Tongliang District into the Industrial Hub of Western China

Chongqing KEDA New Energy Materials Co., Ltd. (Chongqing KEDA New Energy Materials), established on January 9, 2023, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fujian KEDA New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. which operates under KEDA Industrial. It is dedicated to being a leading enterprise in the field of cathode materials that is technology-oriented, cost-competitive, and characterized by outstanding mechanisms and platforms. With a total investment of RMB 1 billion, the project covers an area of approximately 86,000 square meters in Tongliang District, Chongqing.

Tongliang District is located at a key position on the central axis of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. Developing a comprehensive industry chain centered around leading battery enterprises, including development, transformation, production, testing, services, and applications, Tongliang District aims to establish a high-end, high-quality, high-efficiency, and concentrated new energy storage industry system and build a new industry hub for new energy storage in Western China.

   
The ongoing construction of the Chongqing KEDA intelligent production project of cathode materials for lithium-ion battery is in full swing. Recently, under the coordinated efforts of various construction departments, the pile foundations for the raw material workshop and the cathode material workshop have been completed. The project has entered the next construction phase to construct the isolated foundation and platform.
 

To implement the strategic policy of “Safety First, Precaution Crucial”, the company has clearly defined the responsibilities of each department and fortified the safety line to ensure the safety of each employee and company property. Throughout the construction process, the project department has meticulously planned and organized operations around scientific guidelines and safety, ensuring all departments strictly follow the schedule plan for construction.

With the onset of the rainy and scorching season in Chongqing, the company has taken proactive measures to enhance employee safety awareness and skills, including emergency drills for heatstroke, safety awareness training sessions, and various visual aids like safety bulletin boards, safety banners, safety educational videos.


In 6 months, Tongliang District will witness the completion of an intelligent factory of cathode materials for lithium-ion battery. With a planned production capacity of 50,000 tons, this factory will contribute to the strategic development of three core links—graphitization, artificial graphite, and silicon-carbon cathodes, closely following the pace of the national green development and boosting the growth of the lithium-ion battery industry in Southwest China.
