29 May 2025On May 29, the 8.57MW ground-mounted solar power station built by KEDA SOLAR Technology Co., Ltd for Twyford Kenya Ceramic Factory was successfully connected to the grid.
The project is located in Kenya with an installed capacity of 8.57MW. It utilizes approximately 60,000 ㎡ of land around the factory to build a ground-mounted solar power station. It helps meet part of the factory's electricity needs, reduces reliance on traditional energy sources, and supports greener production. The project maximizes power output per unit area and ensures a stable electricity supply by using high-efficiency solar modules and smart O&M systems. It offers low investment and high returns, with a payback period of 2–3 years.
In addition to this project, several other solar projects have recently been connected to the grid worldwide. These include: a 2.997MW rooftop solar project at Kenya Sanitary Ware Factory, a 1.6MWp distributed solar project at Xiamen Golden Dragon Auto Body Co., Ltd., a 1.6MW solar project at Zhejiang Huaxinglong Mould Material Technology Co., Ltd., and a 100KW distributed solar project at BATF Group Co., Ltd.
