09 Sep 2026On September 9, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Twyford International Headquarters Building, themed "A New Move • A World to Build", was held in grand style in the core area of Shunde Optics Valley, Foshan.
More than 100 representatives attended this event, not limited to varied government officials from Foshan, Shunde District and Chencun Town, but also Mr. Tongcan LIANG, Chairman of Hongyu Group; Mr. Cheng BIAN, Chairman of KEDA Industrial Group; Mr. Xuexian YANG, Director and General Manager of KEDA Industrial Group; Mr. Yanchang SHEN, Director of KEDA Industrial Group and Chairman of Twyford International; Mr. Yuejin LI, Director of KEDA Industrial Group and CEO of Twyford International; Mr. Jiangang LONG, Independent Director of KEDA Industrial Group; Mr. Peng ZHOU, Vice President; Mr. Hengxiang PENG, Director of Audit and Supervision; Mr. Qi PENG, Secretary of the Board of Directors; Mr. Lin LUO, CFO. Besides, some representatives from media, and the design and construction companies, along with employee representatives from KEDA Industrial Group and Twyford International witnessed this special occasion onsite together.
Mr. Jianrong LI, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shunde District Committee and Deputy District Mayor, delivered a speech on behalf of the government. He noted that KEDA Industrial Group is an outstanding manufacturing company that grew from Shunde and is listed on the stock exchange. After more than 3 decades of development in Foshan, KEDA Industrial Group has grown into a leading company in China's ceramic machinery industry and a benchmark for Foshan manufacturers going global.
Mr. LI emphasized that it took just 22 days from Twyford International successfully winning the land bid on August 18 to the official groundbreaking today, demonstrating the "Shunde Speed" and "Chencun Efficiency" in bringing major projects to fruition. He further pointed out that KEDA Industrial Group's decision to locate the Twyford International headquarters in Chencun is a strategic choice that combines deep local roots with a global vision. It also reflects the company's strong recognition of Shunde's business environment and industrial ecosystem.
As a major manufacturing hub, Shunde encourages local manufacturers to make full use of both China and international markets and resources. It will continue to provide strong support for business development, promote the mutual reinforcement of local manufacturing capabilities and global industrial expansion, and foster more leading manufacturers with global competitiveness. "We eagerly look forward to KEDA continuing to embrace the pioneering spirit of 'daring to be the first to try something new', creating opportunities, moving forward with a shared purpose, and working in step with Shunde to achieve mutual success. Together, we can write a new chapter of high-quality development," Mr. LI said.
Mr. Yuejin LI, Director of KEDA Industrial Group and CEO of Twyford International, also made a speech. He said, "The official groundbreaking of the Twyford International Headquarters Building is not only a major milestone in Twyford International's development, but also a key milestone in KEDA Industrial Group's global expansion. "Since entering the international building materials business in 2015, we have expanded beyond China and established a presence in Africa. From a newly established international business platform, we have gradually grown into a building materials group with manufacturing bases in 10 countries and 34 production lines, covering 3 major businesses: tiles, sanitaryware and glass."
Mr. LI noted that as Twyford International moves from a revenue base of nearly RMB 10 billion toward its next RMB 10 billion milestone, its goal is not simply to achieve growth in scale. It must also further strengthen its global manufacturing, market, organizational and talent capabilities. The Twyford International Headquarters Building, whose construction officially began today, will serve as an important platform for achieving this goal. It will further strengthen connections between China and international markets, enhance global business collaboration and talent development, and transform a decade of international experience into organizational capabilities built for the future.
"With our headquarters in Shunde, our business reaches around the world. "Looking ahead, we will remain rooted in Shunde while deepening our presence in international markets. We will continue to strengthen and expand our building materials business, deliver stronger results in return for Shunde, a land with a deep manufacturing heritage, and contribute to the 'RMB 20 billion building materials' target through higher-quality global development," Mr. LI said with confidence.
The ceremony then continued with a solemn and vibrant eye-dotting ceremony, followed by an energetic lion dance performance and the traditional "Cai Qing" ceremony, conveying auspicious wishes for prosperity and good fortune.
Finally, witnessed by all guests of honor, executive levels of KEDA Industrial Group and Twyford International jointly broke ground for the Twyford International Headquarters Building project. With celebratory cannon fire, resounding gongs and drums, and vibrant lion dances, the event reached its climax, marking the successful completion of the groundbreaking ceremony.
The Twyford International Headquarters Building project is located in Chencun Town, Shunde District. Covering approximately 30.02 mu, the project has a total gross floor area of approximately 37,000 ㎡ and a total investment of more than RMB 200 million. The project will include an eight-story office building and a ten-story multipurpose building. Upon completion, the complex will serve as Twyford International's headquarters and accommodate more than 600 employees. The project is scheduled for full completion in November 2027, when Twyford International will move into the new headquarters.
