20 Sep 2025Recently, the “Coal Development and Utilization Technical Guidance Meeting”, organized by Indonesia’s Directorate General of Minerals and Coal, was successfully held in Bandung, Indonesia.
The meeting focused on key clean-coal utilization technologies, including coal gasification, coking, coal upgrading, and co-firing of coal with biomass. It also announced that the Minerals and Coal Testing Center (BBPMB) would lead the implementation of the related technical guidance plan. PT. KEDA Construction Indonesia from KEDA (Anhui) Clean Energy, as a representative of Chinese coal gasification technology, was invited to participate.
At the meeting, Mr. Nurhadi, an expert from the Indonesian Minerals and Coal Testing Center, provided a detailed introduction to KEDA (Anhui) Clean Energy’s coal gasification technology and its application achievements in the Indonesian market, attracting broad attention from attendees. This presentation marked the first official appearance of KEDA technology on an Indonesian government platform. It gained recognition from leading Indonesian institutions and signaled KEDA (Anhui) Clean Energy’s entry into the mainstream Indonesian energy technology market.
To date, KEDA (Anhui) Clean Energy has constructed 23 clean coal gasification units in Indonesia. Its cooperation spans Chinese enterprises such as Nanshan Group, Chalco Group, and Jinjiang Group, as well as local Southeast Asian companies including Pabrik Alumina Mempawah and Malaysia Press Metal Aluminum.
