Minister of Ghana's Western Region, Mr. Hon. Joseph Nelson, Visits Twyford Ghana Ceramics to Usher in a New Chapter of Development

Shama District, Western Region, Ghana – March 27, 2024 – Twyford Ghana Ceramics welcomed Mr. Hon. Joseph Nelson, the newly appointed Western Regional Minister, for his first official visit. This visit followed the courtesy call previously made by the company's General Manager. It also constituted a key part of the new government's initiative to engage with major enterprises in the region. It aimed to strengthen government-enterprise collaboration and drive regional economic growth.
 
 Focus on Development: Government and Enterprises Explore a Future Blueprint
 
During the discussions, Twyford Ghana Ceramics provided an overview of its development journey, investment scale, production capacity, market performance, and corporate social responsibility efforts. The company highlighted its contributions in taxation, local job creation, social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and international exchange earnings through exports


Mr. Hon. Joseph Nelson highly commended Twyford's rapid growth in Ghana and expressed his appreciation for the company's contributions. He emphasized that the new government is committed to supporting Twyford's sustainable development by facilitating policy alignment and resource coordination. He encouraged the company to continue leading the industry and contributing to Ghana's industrialization
 
Twyford Ghana Ceramics also expressed the hope that the Ghanaian government would ensure competitive and stable energy prices while meeting the factory's water supply needs. In response, the Minister pledged to coordinate with relevant departments to help address the company's challenges.

Following the meeting, Mr. Hon. Joseph Nelson and his delegation toured the tile and sanitary ware production lines. He was impressed by the clean and efficient facilities, advanced automation, and the skilled local workforce. Upon seeing the "Made in Ghana" label on product packaging, Mr. Hon. Joseph Nelson was particularly inspired, praising Twyford for setting a benchmark in Ghana's manufacturing sector.

As the visit concluded, the Minister reaffirmed the government's strong support for Twyford and expressed eagerness to explore deeper collaboration across multiple sectors. The company remains committed to delivering high-quality products and services to both the Ghanaian and international markets.
