05 Apr 2025The "Key Technology and Industrialization of New Wide-Body Roller Hearth Kiln for Lithium Battery Cathode and Anode Materials" project by Guangdong KEDA New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. (KDXN) and the "R&D and Industrialization of Complete Production Line Technology and Machinery for Cement Based Artificial Stone (Blocks)" project by KEDA Stone Machinery have won first and second prizes respectively at the 2024 Guangdong Mechanical Industry Science and Technology Awards and the 2024 Guangdong Mechanical Engineering Society Science and Technology Awards.
The "Key Technology and Industrialization of New Wide-Body Roller Kiln for Lithium Battery Cathode and Anode Materials" project pioneered a 6-row, 360mm large saggar kiln design, offering an effective solution for reducing costs and boosting efficiency. It was first successfully applied in high-temperature carbonization for anode materials and remains one of the widest roller hearth kilns in the lithium battery industry.
The project also introduced a 5th-generation ultra-efficient cooling system. This innovation addresses the slow cooling of lithium iron phosphate products and eliminates pressure fluctuations during cooling, ensuring a stable furnace atmosphere and consistent product quality.
The Project on the "R&D and Industrialization of Manufacturing Technology and Machinery for Cement-Based Artificial Quartz Slab Blocks" developed a complete production line machinery for manufacturing cement-based artificial quartz slab blocks.
It introduced technologies such as decorative material distribution, multi-stage color blending, fluidized powder peristaltic conveying, and a new integrated vibrator. Combined with the "rotary kneading press" process and automatic demolding, the project achieved major breakthroughs in output, production efficiency, color variety, slab density, product consistency, digital management, and environmental performance.
