KEDA Ceramic Machinery's international project contracting is a remarkable international service "business card" for the KEDA Spare Parts Service Division. By providing thoughtful and considerate project contracting services for customers in different countries, it aptly interprets KEDA's new positioning as a "global provider of architectural ceramic production services".
2023 Annual KEDA Globalization Pioneer: Mr. Xiaoling LU, KEDA Ceramic Machinery
With an 18-year tenure at KEDA, Mr. Xiaoling LU, fondly known as an 'old KEDA member,' has spent minimal time at the company's headquarters. Instead, he has been constantly on the move around the world, either on business trips or en route to one. Among his colleagues, he is more of a legend than a visible presence, with jokes circulating about the "legendary Xiaoling LU". Due to the demands of his work, Mr. Xiaoling LU has missed many important moments with his family. Reflecting on this, he acknowledges, "Indeed, there are regrets and guilt, but I never regret it because I am clear that every position needs someone to stand firm, every job needs someone to contribute, and everyone striving for their family deserves tenderness. The company is my other home, and with this 'family', there is my 'small home'," Xiaoling LU shared.
Engaged in long-term international project contracting, Mr. Xiaoling LU astutely observed the escalating labor costs in China. Acknowledging that dispatching a large number of Chinese employees to work in project locations would significantly increase the company's labor costs, especially given the rising salaries in China, he took charge of the management of international project sites. Mr. Xiaoling LU implemented measures to consolidate and enhance the competitiveness of project sites in local markets. In pursuit of long-term and healthy development, with the ultimate goal of maximizing operational profits, he adopted strategies such as recruiting local employees in countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, he leveraged the resources of the KEDA Indian subsidiary in India, recruiting Indian employees and deploying them to ceramic factories international where Chinese investments were made. These efforts gradually implemented the localization management of project sites, resulting in significant achievements in reducing labor costs.

In 2023, through collaborative efforts with colleagues from the KEDA Ceramic Machinery International Marketing Center, the International Projects Department successfully added 6 new countries to its portfolio. In addition to India, it has expanded its presence to include Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. The growth rate of project sites is an impressive 66.7%, resulting in the contracting of an additional 11 production lines. This expansion has led to an approximate 60% increase in the annual output value of international contracting.
Saudi Huacai Project:
As a major international contracting project with the highest production capacity among ceramic machinery projects, the newly added Saudi Huacai project point in 2023 has a daily output of 60,000 square meters.
The contracting scope is extensive and covers various aspects of the project, including the maintenance of the complete line machinery from the smart after-kiln storage line to the glazing line, smart brick storage line before packaging, packaging line finished product stacking, and supply of consumables, personnel operations and foreign worker management.
The customer has expressed significant concerns due to the passive production since the commencement in July this year, impacted by factors such as personnel, machinery, and raw materials.
Upon receiving feedback from the site, Mr. Xiaoling LU, the manager of the international projects department of KEDA Ceramic Machinery Spare Parts Service Division, flew from Jordan to the Saudi Huacai project site for the first time. In response to the problems on the site, he actively communicated with relevant customer management personnel and formulated solutions. Leading by example, he personally led the project team, working day and night for over two months. Through close collaboration between both parties, they systematically addressed the existing issues, turning the passive situation into an active one.
They successfully restored on-site production to the right track, earning high recognition from the customer and setting a new benchmark for KEDA's contracting services in Saudi Arabia and even globally.
Indonesia Project:
In the past, the polishing workshop of the contracting point by PT. JUI SHIN INDONESIA had a total of 4 polishing lines and 7 packaging lines. Among them, only 1 polishing line was assigned to KEDA for management. At the PT. JUI SHIN INDONESIA contracting point, KEDA adheres to the service philosophy of "No Best, Only Better". Under the leadership of Mr. Xiaoling LU, KEDA fully assumed control of the entire polishing workshop on August 20th, demonstrating years of service performance. This comprehensive responsibility includes personnel management, machinery maintenance, supply of spare parts and consumables, wastewater treatment, forklift maintenance, and production operations. This significant step signifies a true and meaningful transition to full-scale contracting, thereby enhancing KEDA's international project contracting work to a new level.
