From September 19 to 21, 2023, the Solid Waste Disposal and Resource Utilization Professional Committee of China Building Materials Industrial Economics Research Association in collaboration with authoritative organizations in the industry, jointly organized the "Yangtze River Economic Belt Typical Comprehensive Utilization of Solid Waste Exchange Conference and the Fifth 'Waste-to-Resource New Materials' Production and Application Technology Conference" (referred to as the "Technology Conference") at the Howard Johnson Flower City Hotel in Kunming, Yunnan.

The theme of this conference was "Building and Sharing Together, Connecting Harmoniously, Safeguarding the Yangtze River, and Guiding Waste towards Value". The conference placed a significant emphasis on the production and application of typical industrial solid waste in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. It aimed to establish a high-level platform for communication and cooperation for the entire industrial chain in the field of solid waste in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. This platform covered management, waste production, waste utilization, research, and product and machinery manufacturing, among other enterprises and institutions. The objective was to ssupport the growth of leading core enterprises, promote technological iteration and innovation, and enhance the comprehensive utilization of industrial solid waste resources in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

KEDA Industrial Group, specializing in the production of machinery for autoclaved aerated concrete, cellular ceramics, inorganic stone, and ecological stone products, is invited to participate in this conference. Additionally, Zhinian ZHANG from KEDA Stone Machinery made a special presentation on "Comprehensive Utilization of Solid Waste in Building Materials and Decorative Surface Materials" at the conference.

High-Pressure Dry Method Inorganic Ecological Stone

Zhinian ZHANG provided a comprehensive introduction to high-pressure dry method inorganic ecological stone, AAC machinery, and cellular ceramics in his report. First, he detailed that high-pressure dry method inorganic ecological stone is produced through the reuse of various solid waste/powder materials using a special high-pressure dry method forming process. It is a new type of material that is reusable, environmentally friendly, and green. It is a new product in the field of artificial stone and contributes to achieving urban ecological circulation, green environmental protection, and low-carbon energy efficiency.

KEDA Stone Machinery provides a complete solution for the high-pressure dry method inorganic ecological stone complete production line system. This solution integrates a new formula, new processes, new equipment, and new applications. It covers the entire manufacturing process from mixing and blending, fabric forming, curing treatment, grinding and grading, palletizing, and packaging to produce genuine inorganic ecological stone. This process ensures the product is environmentally friendly, possesses excellent paving characteristics, and maximizes the utilization of solids waste.

Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC)

Following this, Zhinian ZHANG explained autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC), which is a lightweight, environmentally friendly silicate wall material product that can effectively turn solid waste into a valuable resource. It is widely used in residential, public, and industrial buildings with many advantages such as fire resistance, waterproofing, and thermal insulation.

KEDA's AAC production technology covers raw material preparation, batching and pouring, reinforcement section (for AAC panel production ), pre-curing and aerating, demoulding and cutting, grouping before autoclaving, autoclaving, packaging, and integrates visual recognition systems for achieving factory visualization management and operational control. This elevates the overall intelligence of the production line, creating advantages in intelligence, precision, energy efficiency, stability, and durability.

As a leader holistic AAC plant solution supplier in China, KEDA consistently upholds the recycling of solid waste resources, establishing a demonstration base for the comprehensive utilization of bulk solid waste. Gathering solid waste output and linking industries drive the development of prefabricated construction and energy-saving building industries, forming a low-carbon, green industrial development chain.

Cellular Ceramics Production Line

Lastly, Zhinian ZHANG provided a detailed introduction to the technical advantages and collaborative case studies of KEDA's cellular ceramics production line. Cellular ceramics are high-porosity closed-cell ceramic materials formed through a process involving polishing slag, stone waste, and other low-value, low-quality raw materials. These materials undergo powder processing, supplemented with other inorganic additives, and utilize advanced production techniques and foaming technology. The final product is achieved through calcination and foaming, resulting in a ceramic material with a high pore volume and closed-cell structure. They have advantages such as being green and lightweight and find applications in high-temperature chimney corrosion resistance, sound absorption and floor heating, integrated whole-house systems, thermal insulation and decoration, carving and artistic lines, corrosion resistance, subway tunnel sound insulation, and more.

In recent years, with urban renewal, urban-rural integration, and the implementation of various environmental protection policies, recyclable and environmentally friendly products have become increasingly popular. They have generated significant market demand and are being utilized more extensively in various domains. This includes applications in flooring, sidewalks, road construction, outdoor plazas, paving stones, concrete road bricks, and many other areas.

Through this conference, the company had in-depth discussions with partners both upstream and downstream from across the country. In the future, KEDA Industrial Group will continue to drive the technological transformation of comprehensive utilization of solid waste resource. By leveraging the outcomes of comprehensive solid waste utilization, KEDA Industrial Group aims to contribute to the development of a green, low-carbon, and circular economy.
