On January 13, Mr. Jiejun BAO, President of GuiRan Academy and a founding shareholder of KEDA Industrial Group, led participants of the Academy's 6th Advanced Program to KEDA for the January session of the "Classroom on the Move" series. Mr. Cheng BIAN, Chairman of KEDA Industrial Group, warmly welcomed the group and delivered a keynote lecture.

During the session, Chairman Mr. BIAN began with an in-depth overview of the current development of the ceramic machinery and international building materials businesses, offering a clear analysis of the company's strategic layout. He emphasized that these strategies are all based on long-term trends and were planned 10 to 15 years in advance—not short-term impulses.
Chairman Mr. BIAN noted that cognition is the key factor that shapes a person's destiny. How one understands and views the world—especially how one sees oneself in relation to others—largely determines one's life path. The same applies to entrepreneurs and whether the companies they lead can achieve real breakthroughs.

The first aspect of cognition is understanding "what money really is". This requires handling the distribution of interests between oneself and others properly. To bring capable people together, entrepreneurs must foster a culture of shared benefits and embrace the belief that "When money scatters, people gather and when money gathers, people scatter". Those around you should never be treated as mere employees. Instead, success comes from building partnerships and moving forward together.
The second aspect of cognition is having a clear understanding of your own capabilities and those of the people around you. When entrepreneurs recognize their own limitations and understand that society never lacks talented individuals, they naturally attract capable people to join their companies. The history of a company's growth is, in essence, a history of talent renewal. For a business to grow, the entrepreneur's mindset and vision must evolve at the same pace. On this point, Chairman Mr. BIAN offered 3 pieces of advice. First, entrepreneurs must be willing to seek out top talent. Second, the company's top leader should personally recruit key hires. Third, without direct involvement in recruitment, it is impossible to truly understand a person's abilities.

Chairman Mr. BIAN also stressed that to scale a business, an entrepreneur's character and integrity must rise together. Whether a leader can take an organization to the next level depends on having benevolence and strong moral character, and on ensuring that virtue matches responsibility. One should think with the public interest in mind and act without ego. In this process, choices at the level of cognition matter far more than sheer effort. "Your cognition determines everything. Your character defines your scope. Your scope determines your outcome."
In his remarks, he noted that many entrepreneurs built their wealth in their early years through boldness and good fortune, only to lose it later through blind "hard work" and flawed judgment. Without timely course correction, some ultimately end up bankrupt. "For those of us in business, the first rule is to respect facts and never deceive ourselves." Chairman Mr. BIAN stated.

In closing, he shared that for entrepreneurs, running a business is itself a passion and a calling. What is most worth taking pride in is not the wealth that remains at the end, but the hardships endured, the pain experienced, and the tears shed along the way—this is where the true fulfillment of entrepreneurship lies.
